He is widely recognised as a leading expert in sports law and a prominent scholar of U.S. corporate law.

He has been appointed by public authorities as bankruptcy trustee and extraordinary commissioner for major entities and regularly advises on special situations, turnaround and restructuring processes. He has also held senior institutional roles within the Italian sports system, contributing to governance and regulatory frameworks. Author of numerous academic publications, he combines academic expertise with extensive experience in corporate governance, investment transactions and complex financial structures.

Ferruccio M. Sbarbaro is a qualified attorney admitted before the Italian Supreme Court and an Associate Professor of Comparative Law. He serves as Co-Managing Partner of the firm he co- founded and advises private and institutional clients in corporate, commercial, financial, real estate and restructuring matters, including complex M&A transactions, VC and PE deals, distressed assets and cross-border operations.

He has been appointed by various Italian ministries as Liquidator and Extraordinary Commissioner for major entities, and serves in supervisory and arbitral roles within national sports institutions.
